What to Expect for your Dining Experience
What do I do when I get there?
Our garden entrance is to the left of the main entrance through a small white gate. We typically open the gate 10 minutes before the event start time.
The team will meet you at the gate, give a brief intro to the venue, sign your waiver, and help you find your seats.
Once you are comfy we invite you to explore the space, take photos, and settle into our magical home restaurant!
How does seating work at communal events?
Group Seating: We host communal seating at Vida Kitchen. If you hope to sit with others in your party, purchasing your tickets in 1 transaction is the most likely way that you won’t be separated.
Preferred Seating: Guests are seated to their preference in the order of arrival, we have many beautiful options and the seating layout varies for each event. Thank you for your flexibility.
How are dietary restrictions handled?
We offer a variety of menus, below please find the options for the event you have purchased…
Our Alchemy Afternoon Tea event is a set menu, unfortunately due to the nature of service - no modifications can be made
For our Sol & Saffron dinner service: some items can be omitted, if requested in advance and mentioned upon arrival
Beyond that, if you need more significant modifications - we would love to plan a custom menu for a Private Event! Chef Wendy has experience with vegan, paleo, lactose intolerance and more - this is our most flexible option
I’m joining an artistic event, what do I bring?
All the supplies you need will be provided - ex. for painting we will provide the canvas/brushes/paint and an apron + for bloom bar we will provide trimmers and bouquet wrapping/vases.

Can I request a cancellation?
As a small business with mostly pre-fixe menus and very limited seating, cancellations can be very difficult at the last minute - we prioritize minimal food waste and buy only the specific amount that we need for each event, which is also enough for our exact guest count.
Last minute cancellations cannot be honored for this reason, the funds are no longer available.
Where is the venue?
Our restaurant is tucked away in a cozy neighborhood in Lomita, CA just off of PCH.
The address will be provided only after an RSVP is submitted. Please check your email confirmation to find the exact location.
